1. Our Commitment
We:
• Fully recognise our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
• Are committed to following UK safeguarding legislation and best practices, including guidance from Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
• Promote an environment where students feel confident, valued, and listened to.

2. Who We Work With
We work with:
• Children and young people from Year 5 to Year 11
• UK-based and international students preparing for 11+, GCSEs, and IGCSEs
• Parents and guardians who support their child’s education journey

3. Tutor Responsibilities
All ThinkHub Academy tutors are required to:
• Undergo reference checks and a suitability assessment
• Commit to professional conduct at all times
• Deliver lessons in a safe, appropriate online setting
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly
Where possible, we also seek:
• Proof of an up-to-date Enhanced DBS Check (UK tutors)
• A clear understanding of online safeguarding principles

4. Parent/Guardian Role
We encourage parents and carers to:
• Be present or nearby during online sessions (otherwise have a responsible adult/ guardian nearby)
• Ensure their child’s device is secure and in a quiet learning environment
• Maintain open communication with us about their child’s progress or concerns

5. Online Safety & Technology
To protect students in an online environment, we:
• Use secure platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams
• Only record sessions when necessary and with parental consent
• Never share student information or recordings without explicit permission
• Avoid use of personal messaging apps for lesson-related communication

6. Reporting Concerns
If a student, parent, or tutor has a safeguarding concern, they should report it immediately by emailing:
